Thank you to @oakridgewinery for this amazing wine! When guests are coming over, a food and wine pairing is a must. I was confident this red blend would pair perfectly with some grilled chicken and then it was just a decision on how to serve up the chicken. What I decided was a lemon cream pasta, and a side salad. For my plate, I went to a no carb pasta, for the guests a more traditional pasta. The citrus and herbs in the pasta sauce, along with the smokey grilled chicken paired wonderfully with this red wine. The salad kept it fresh on this lovely summer evening and everyone enjoyed the pairing! I loved that this was a California, estate grown and women owned winery. We're spoiled in California with some of the best wines and this was right up there!
