Vacation day one! Lots of food and way to many drinks will be the theme for the next few days and I may not post. Dinner was birra tacos and aguachile,dessert a waffle and cake kinda thing and a basil ice cream cone, lunch a steak sandwich and tuna tostada with chips and salsa. After lunch snack was a latte and brownie. One of many beers featured and everything in photos after the beer is from the chase lounge at the San Diego airport. A green chili eggs Benedict, a bao bun, croissant and a whiskey.

Sheet pan dinners and selfies Dinner was a sheet pan meal of Brussels, zucchini and asparagus tossed in @neilsarap dayum seasoning. On a separate pan was sliced onions and @amylufoods cranberry and jalapeno meatballs. Both cooked in the convection oven at 375 for about 20 minutes. Served over a tiny bit of rice and drizzled with hot sauces and @trybachans for a bit of sweet and spicy. Dessert was a @builtbar Lunch, if I can call it that, was an array of snacks. Protein pretzels, biltong, @questnutrition peanut butter cups, and two jerky sticks. This also includes my last progress photo of my 30s and I am happy to see some definition! Sure, lighting helps. But I’ll take it! I appreciate my BBQ accountability group for their support and encouragement this year. Errands and a San Diego wave game with some great food too! Started the day with a leftover sourdough discard waffle, toasted it in the toaster oven and topped again with Greek yogurt and blackberries. With this was a dirty chai latte, which was so good. Stash chai tea with a shot of espresso and a bit of half and half. Dinner was going to be the steak and broccoli but we got invited to join friends at the wave game and so we moved dinner plans to lunch. @bearmountainbbq pecan grilled steak seasoned in @neilsarap tasty bark. The broccoli was tossed in olive oil and some @boarsnightout While the lunch was cooking I had some pretzel chips with an onion dip. Dinner was a carne asada burrito and I had a few beers at the game. So sleep score suffered again last night. Soft scrambled eggs, smoked salmon dip and Quest crackers I used the @questnutrition cheddar cheese crackers for some texture among an otherwise softer lunch plate. The @bearmountainbbq pecan smoke really shined through after the dip had a few days in the fridge. Afternoon snacks were are @thinkjerky jalapeno beef stick and a @questnutrition protein bar. I went out for dinner with friends at @ballastpointsandiego and had two different nitro stout beers, an order of chicken wings and a Cobb salad ( no photo) as well as some of the fries shared for the table. Green eggs and ham or deviled eggs and spam? Dinner was music and deviled eggs with a side of sauteed zucchini. I marinated the gochujang spam in @trybachans for the sweet and spicy flavor profile. I also had my wife’s leftover chicken breast topped with spinach dip. Lunch was a repeat this week with the second bag of @yourtaylorfarms salad topped with thin sliced @bearmountainbbq pecan smoked tri tip. Steak and eggs or a Toast trio or both? Lunch was @bearmountainbbq pecan smoked tri tip sliced thin and reheated in a pan. 3 eggs with set whites and runny yolks, simply salted with @redmondrealsalt kosher salt. Dinner is 3 slices of @simplekneads_gf sourdough bread double toasted. Two slices are topped with an avocado egg salad and one is topped with a pecan smoked salmon dip. The egg salad was garnished with homemade crispy bacon and the salmon dip garnished with dill. Dessert is the brand new @questnutrition overloaded chocolate explosion bar. Tri top salad and smoked Spinach Parmesan topped chicken breast For lunch I made an amazing salad. I started with a @yourtaylorfarms salad kit from Costco, buffalo ranch (I skipped using the tortilla crisps). I topped the salad with thin sliced smoked tri tip. The tri tip was smoked low and slow with @bearmountainbbq pecan wood and seasoned with @kosmosq Texas beef and cow cover rubs. When the tri tip hit 135 I pulled it and let it rest 10 minutes before refrigerating it overnight and then slicing thin with a meat slicer. Dinner was a chicken breast seasoned with @boarsnightout white rub and also smoked using pecan to 150 internal. It was the topped with spinach Parmesan dip and baked at 400 with a quick final broil to finish it off. Served alongside bacon wrapped asparagus with a bit of @spiceology truffle Parmesan dust and a zucchini sourdough discard muffin. #steaksalad #chickenbreast #lowcarb #bearmountainbbq #healthymeals #mealinspo
