Valentine’s Dinner with friends and some treats and snacks. Dinner was a beer and sharing some fried jalapenos at Ketch followed by pho and edamame at Mignon pho and grill. With dinner I had a second beer and snagged a chicken wing and chicken bite from others at the table . The pho was rare steak with bok choy and broccoli. After dinner we walked over to the market and I got a pack of rolls with red bean paste and enjoyed two of those as well as some super dark chocolate squares, which I had a few of. When I got home, I had my rice crispy treat! One of my favorites. Earlier in the day I had a protein bar and meat stick to help me power through to dinner.

3 eggs, wilted spinach and a parmesan crisp That was my lunch, alongside two think jerky sticks. My pre dinner was a premier protein shake and dinner was out with friends. I had a dish named charred remains, which was a shard broccoli and brussel dish with lemon and chili oil over a ricotta. The workout was a grueling one and leg crusher. 40 and 45lb single leg RDL and a squats on a plate. Paired up with heavy sled pulls and running. I finished that and got in two rounds on the cardio and toes to bar. My body is feeling the week of workouts. One more today before a rest day tomorrow.

Broke my fast early but did get in some extra steps I broke my fast with my final protein brownie and some black coffee. I followed that up with a frings pastry, which honestly I don’t love nearly as much as legendary foods. Lunch was leftover chicken and orzo, with a @questnutrition cookies and cream bar for good measure. Dinner was Taco Tuesday, fish tacos. While dinner was cooking I had some chips and salsa and split a fresh flour tortilla with my wife The morning workout was leg heavy, with lots of lunges at 40lbs per hand, then calf raises that had my legs twitching all day! I got two rounds on the cardio and pistols. Simple lunch, some snacks and a sushi dinner Lunch was cottage cheese, @crisp.power protein pretzels, a @thinkjerky jalapeno stick and a @questnutrition peanut butter cup. Dinner was out at Sushi Deli. I had the 4×4 combo, and a lime time roll as well as some sushito peppers and miso soup. It was a really nice dinner out with friends. This week’s workouts at @nxptfit are nice and focused. I started in the clean and press with 40lbs and finished that zone, then moved to the calories and got the first two rounds done.

Crispy fried potatoes with crispy bacon and a gravy topped poached egg. I stayed with Yukon Gold potatoes diced into 1/4 inch diced cubes and tossed in avocado oil and @spiceology Thunder dust seasoning. Over medium high heat. With another tablespoon of avocado oil I pan fried the potato. In a large pot of water, lightly simmering with a teaspoon of vinegar, I poached two eggs for 3.5 minutes. The bacon is baked at 350 on a sheet pan till crispy. Finally the gravy was leftover from swedish meatball night, but starts with a roux, and incorporates beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon, and black pepper. With the potatoes golden and crispy, they get tossed in a bit more seasoning. The eggs are set on a paper town to dry just a touch and assembly is easy. The big game called for a bit more snacks I started the day with @nxptfit yoga and then came home and made breakfast. Breakfast was crispy potatoes dusted in @spiceology thunder dust and topped with bacon, poached eggs, and the gravy from the swedish meatballs. I ate a few of these protein brownies, and am almost finished with the tray at this point. Superbowl snacks were chips and salsa, spicy pickled carrots, and broccoli and ranch dip. I split an @alesmithbrewing speedway stout horchata beer with my wife and we also shared the second half of her sandwich from the day before for dinner. I got a short walk in for a few steps and did work around the house as well.

Swedish meatballs, a sandwich and more protein brownies Breakfast was coffee, a protein brownie and a @legendaryfoods strawberry protein pastry. Lunch was a roast beef Cobb sandwich from cheers deli. Dinner was swedish meatballs made with ground turkey and served over egg noodles and roasted broccoli. I had the portion you see here and a second portion for 4 more meatballs and another bit of egg noodles. I also had a corn tortilla. We did grocery shopping at Carnival market, and I can’t pass up a warm corn tortilla when I got home. Movement was mostly walking around the house cleaning. Didn’t get a ton in but did do the stairs a lot so I hit Garmin’s 10 flight of stairs goal for the day.

Wrapped up the work week with a bit of a treat after a long day. For lunch I made a Caesar salad, two heads of Romain hearts tossed in parmesan and @litehousefoods Caesar dressing with the last of the prok tenderloin diced up and tossed in. Since this was low protein I also had a bag of Simms dried beef, which is the Aldi version of style biltong. I also had a piece of string cheese. Dinner was a chicken breast served over a boursin cream orzo with sauteed spinach. My wife made this dinner and she did an amazing job. For my treat I had some whiskey on a large rock and made some low carb protein brownies. I used the @carbonautbaking brownie mix and added 3 scoops of chocolate protein powder. My Friday workout to close out the week was a simple one. I didn’t get as much done as I wanted but finished the 59 burpees and 50 squats with a 75 ln sand bag, as well as made it up and over the wall a few times. Then I finished the dumbbell snatches at 50lbs and the 50 calories on the c2 bike. I made it over to do a few deadlifts before running out of time . I got my daily miles in and will use the weekend for recovery again. One interesting note was I tested glucose and ketones out of curiosity yesterday and was at 1.6mmol for ketones, and 89mg for glucose, which is pretty deep ketosis. Especially given the night before was noodles, fried wings and hot and sour soup. If you read all this. Thank you and let me know!

Chicken tenders for lunch and went out for dinner I made some @realgoodfoods chicken strips lunch and just a quick drizzle of @litehousefoods ranch and @kindersflavors buttery buffalo. Then for snacks, I had a @questnutrition cookies and cream bar, a @thinkjerky jalapeno stick and a handful of @crisp.power pretzels. Dinner was out for some Chinese food with friends. I had a bowl of hot and sour soup, some fried wings and stole a plate of lo mein noodles from my wife. Lighting was rough, so the photos aren’t great, but gives you a portion size idea. Overall a decently on track day, maybe more snacking that I would have loved but not bad.
